Scan problems

I wanted to upload a few nice pictures, but my scanner isn't working anymore!
It's an all-in-one Epson CX4800, but the scanner isn't detected. The printing and copying parts are working, I tried to uninstall a few dozen times, reboot, get the latest driver. It seems the registry is messed up. I even if I clean it up, it doesn't work.
I guess I'll have to re-install Windows...
